Official Rules
U.S.G.A. rules govern all play, with the following exceptions:
-
The tournament format is a 4-person scramble. Each team member
may place the ball within one (1) club length of the selected
shot, no nearer the hole. If the shot selected is played from
a hazard, bunker, rough, fairway, or fringe of the green, again
the ball must be played from within one (1) club length of the
shot selected and must remain in the hazard, bunker rough, fairway,
or fringe of the green.
When putting, once any ball is holed out, no further strokes count. The team is cautioned not to make "tap" in putts until all team members have had the opportunity to attempt the team's original putt. The original putt may be moved a maximum of two (2) inches from the mark, no nearer the hole.
On every hole, each member of the team may hit a tee shot. Each member's tee shot must be used a minimum of 2 times. All members of the team may then hit from that position. This procedure is repeated until the ball is holed out.
Men play from the Blue tees. Women play from the Red tees.
Mulligans are available from the tournament sponsor for $5 each. There is no limit on the number of mulligans a player may purchase, however, mulligans must be purchased before the round begins in order to be used during the round. Mulligans may be used at any time during the round except that shots played using a mulligan do not qualify for closest-to-the-hole and long drive prizes.

The purpose of the NSBA Golf Scramble is to raise money to
benefit the NSBA's Volunteer Lawyer Project. Please keep this
purpose in mind while playing, have fun, and please accept
our sincere thanks for your generous support.
